Health & Safety has dramatically improved in the UK in recent years which has been critical in ensuring safer working environments. As an organisation Nyke Energy Services Ltd have developed their own policy and commitments to health & safety ensuring that as an organisation we undertake all work with the best regards for the health and safety of all those involved.
We work closely with a local health and safety specialist, MBO Safety Services Ltd, to ensure we are fully conversant with any changes in legislation and statutory requirements; this helps us maintain a robust health & safety policy that is current and to the highest possible standard.
We have a total commitment to health and safety which is understood throughout the company, we strive to ensure that our workforce retains and recognises personal ownership of safety, everyone has an obligation to ensure that their actions never put themselves, their colleagues, or the public at risk. This has been achieved through our investment in training and development.
All site staff hold a valid CSCS card specific to their role. They also have a recognised health & safety qualification. All general operatives have undertaken IOSH Working Safely, supervisors have undertaken the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and managers IOSH Managing Safely. We believe our training gives operatives an in-depth knowledge of health and safety relevant to their role. All training is reinforced through in-house training, tool box talks and other specialist training courses such as IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness, Emergency First Aid and Working at Height etc.
All vehicles, plant and equipment is maintained and checked beyond required standards (including PAT testing) on a regular basis.
As a company, Nyke Energy Services Ltd have a number of recognised health and safety accreditations which include CHAS, Constructionline and Safe Contractor. This demonstrates our commitment to health & safety and the exacting standards we adopt.
